I mean really, did He just appear suddenly out of nowhere? Or did some mega force that is too complicated for us to understand make Him?

It's a question that is easy to answer, and an answer that imposable to comprehend.
God exists. No one and nothing made Him. He did not will Himself into creation, He always was. Before He created the world there WAS NO TIME (this is the part that humans cannot get their minds around, my self included) Nothing existed before God, the very word before implies time which did not exist. God always was and always will be.

This is a complex question with a few biases in the way you ask it.

'Appear' isn't the right word, since God never 'appeared' as such.
God manifests itself (himself if you think God is a man which in my opinion is wrong because it is neither man or woman) through everything that surrounds us.

Does God exist? No. God is. God is the life around you and every other object in between.

I prefer to call it 'The Source' of everything alhough the label does not matter, it all remains pretty much a mystery what is God, the source, whatever all this comes from...

That is the ultimate question, isn't it?! No one ever seems to question where God came from, they just believe that God is...

In my mind, this is what makes religion more of a story, like folklore, than anything. Most people have a fundamental need to believe in something greater than themselves...mostly, I believe, so that they have something to blame things on when they don't go the way they want them to. Other than that, religion serves no real purpose as far as I'm concerned.

God is beyond the dimensions of the physical universe that we live in. The rules and laws of physics are a product of God's creation, so to think of the physical universe's laws (like time) with relation to God is generally meaningless.

God doesnt exist as a being or person, so nothing can create something that really never existed. God is just the illusion of mankind.

God wasn't created. He exists out of time. He's the beginning and the end.

please don't take offense at this, it was a random philosophical discussion i had a while back and is in no way meant to insult, belittle, or otherwise put down anyone's religion.

some philosopher (probably greek) once concluded that we're all just figments of our own imaginations. my friends and i thought about this and concluded that God is a figment of his own imagination.
