During a trip to South Africa he misbehaved on the plane and was sent home immediately. Apparantly he was drunk and got into an argument with a female air hostess.

First of all: Fernando Ricksen is Dutch. Secondly I am neither a fan of Celtic nor of the Rangers. I like both blue and green but I love the Red-White of Ajax Amsterdam

No mate.
I think Fernando has played his last game for the Gers.
Le Guen will use this situation with Ricksen to show ALL the other players at Ibrox that HE is the Boss and what he say's goes.
It will be a good move for Le Guen and the Players will know where they stand with him now.

As for Ricksen. This is the latest in a long line of crazy incidents from the Dutchman, and with the New Manager (Le Guen) just in the door at Ibrox, you would have thought he would have been on his BEST behaviour, or at least be trying to impress the man who ultimately decides wether he stay's or is shown the door.
In short Ricksen has blown his chances and a lucrative wage each week.
Owen

BTW i'm a JAG

Oh I do hope so. It's always good to see the faces of Barry Ferguson and Fernando Ricksen when Celtic give Rangers a pasting. Football needs players we love to hate. Because, when they lose, the victory champagne tastes all the sweeter.

I thought he was great 2 seasons ago but last year he was crap. He has a long history and this is probably the icing on the cake. He is truly a nutter and I cant help but feel that after all the trouble McLeish went to, to meet his wage demands he decided to take his foot off the gas and coast through the rest of his contract. It could also be that Le Guen recognised his non contribution so given the first opportunity he decided to reduce the wage bill.Dont see him ever pulling on the blue jersey again.

While he had an inspired season in 2004-5, I think he's shot his bolt. Show him the door now. Getting drunk in pre-season is surely not on for the squad nevermind just Ricksen.

No, I think he'd rather go back to AZ Alkmaar the now. It's a more succesful outift, classier too. Rangers last season were third behind Celtic and Hearts, and I can't see them progressing much. Mind you, I support neither Gers nor AZ - so whatever happens will be whatever.

I think he has blown it unfortunately. I like Ricksen , he had a terrific season the one before last when he played in midfield.

Played his last game for them for sure. The guy is an idiot and I think Le Guen has used the incident to further his cause with regard to dicipline in the camp.
