mental evidence in islam is a long subject
however it is divided into:
-conclusive evidences that god is present ,part of this is the intellegent design
-evidences that mohammad is a true prophet.part of this are miracles, evidences from christianity and jeudasim, and life of the prophet.
-evidences that quran is a god word.part of this is arabic language superstyle, the scientific miracle, the historical and future prospections.

Most Christians agree that the bible is full of contradictions. Many of them are so obvious that Ray Charles could see them.
The problem with islam that most Christians have, is that they deny the deity of Christ. Islam considers Christ God's messenger or prophet, yet they do not consider him divine in nature.

Now he has been quoted as saying "No man cometh to the father but by me". Now does this mean that no one could ever get to heaven without Jesus Christ? Well that is what Christians believe (mostly)

Islam believes we should not worship Jesus Christ. However Jesus Christ never forbid anyone to worship him.

The most important factor is that we both claim to be decendants of ABRAHAM. Islam is the decendants of Ishmael and christians by adoption or nature are decendants of Isaac. Which makes us brothers. God made promises Abraham regarding both. We both believe that our God created the heavens and the earth. We both believe in the return of Jesus Christ. So why spend time discussing our opposition, when our agreement is evident? Muslims are my brothers, and by the way I AM MORMON.

First off, let me start by saying that everyone that responded in a negative or derogatory way to this question should go back and think on how they reacted. In the bible Jesus taught acceptance and kindness, not humiliation toward others.

To answer the question, the reason for your observation of contradictions is based on the fact that all humans percieve things differently than others. There are many different authors for the Bible, and different translations. Scribes sometimes didn't copy texts correctly, and so sometimes, reading out of context can produce the thought of contradiction. Then you add the human condition, where the information gets processed differently for each brain. Its not that there are contradictions, its that there is a lot more liniency with the religion of christianity than in the other religions, and so free thought generates all of the different denominations that you see in Christianity, where people with similiar beliefs about what they think about Christianity form into groups. Remember that the Catholic church ruled the world for a greater part of our history, before people knew how to read and write, so Martin Luther translated the bible into a language other than latin, all of a sudden, people were able to think for themselves, thus forming the first protestant church, and it moves on from there.

I feel sorry that so many people responded so rudely to your question, if you would like to discuss, in a pleasant, respectable manner, I can help you to understand what you would like to know, and maybe you could share some info about your beliefs with me. My im and email are both jinetaw@yahoo.com

The questions you bring up are very valid questions. However, by the sights of some of the answers you have received, I am afraid that some of them have been pretty disrespectful. I apologize, because this is not what being a Christian is about. I would like to addess the 3 gods. There are not three gods. Christianity believes in the trinity (father, son, and holy spirit). It is kind of like three "parts" to God. For example, your body. You have the top, the middle, and the bottom. All three are your body. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all God. It is our Father God that created the heavens and the Earth. When man sinned it showed that they have fallen short of God's glory. We need redemption for our sins. Back in the Old Testament, people would sacrifice a perfect lamb. A PERFECT lamb. They would sacrifice it to God as forgiveness for their sins. This did not mean that they were forgiven, but it was a sacrifice. They focused much more on the good works that they did. They truly had to prove themselves to God. God promised (even to Adam and Eve) that He would send the redemption for our sins. Many people in the Old Testament prophesied what would happen. They knew that He would be born the son of God from a virgin. The New Testament is from the time Jesus was born and forward. Jesus was the perfect lamb. The PERFECT lamb. Just as you are a part of your father/mother, Jesus was to his Father God. 100% God. He was God in the flesh. Some chose to believe and others didn't. Jesus said that He is the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by Him. The perfect lamb had to be sacrificed. When people would sacrifice lambs in the Old Testament they would sacrifice it at an alter. There was a certain part of the alter that they could not enter called the holy of holies. There was a veil here. They could not enter because that is where God's presence was. When Jesus died, THE PERFECT LAMB, it says in the New Testament that the veil was torn and the temple shook. We are now able to enter into God's presence because of what Jesus did. However, Jesus said that He is the way the truth and the life. The only unforgiveable sin is to not believe. Those who do not believe will not have eternal life in heaven. God looks at our hearts. Those who have "confessed with their mouth and believed in their heart" that Jesus is the salvation for our sins try to live lives that glorify God. Of course, we stumble. Of course, we fall occassionally. I know that God has already forgiven me because I have made that commitment to follow him. He knows my heart. When Jesus was resurrected He told his disciples that he would send the Comforter once he left. They were told to go to the upper room and pray for Jesus was going to send the comforter. The comforter is the Holy Spirit. The father, son, and holy spirit all make up God. It goes into so much more detail. Just know that as you are in search, that Jesus loves you as well. It is wonderful that you are asking questions. If you have more, please, please email me. God Bless!

You have some pretty glaring misconceptions about Christianity. Chief among them is this:

"-different beliefs in the god and jesus, sometimes the jesus is god, sometimes the jesus is the son of god, other times the god is jesus.othertimes there r three gods!"

A few problems with this statement:

1) Jesus is not God only sometimes. He is God.

2) Jesus is not the Son of God only sometimes. He is the Son of God. Just as a king is royal, so too is his son. The same with Jesus.

3) Christianity does not believe, and has never believed, that there are three gods. It has always believed that there is one God. God exists in Three Persons -- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

This concept -- one God, Three Persons -- is hard for us, with our limited human intellect, to understand. But just because we can't understand it, doesn't mean God can't pull it off.

And in the end, there will be false prophets.

First, any Christian believes that Jesus is THE Christ or THE Messiah. That's what being a Christian is all about.

I think that a person who reads the Koran should be the last person to talk about contradictions. I've read that book THREE times, and to say that this book is filled with peace and not with hatred is and out and out lie.

*sigh* it's sad when one reads a post like this - first because Yahoo provides a spellchecker - and secondly it's an uneducated child spewing the nonsense his hate-mongering elders taught him

The Trinity is a difficult concept to understand - but that doesn't negate it anyway. You have a soul, and spirit which are both you but yet are different - that doesnt mean that they are two you's.

let's look at your statement that a god can "relieving" (btw I think you meant forgive or perhaps you really did mean relieve) without being crucified

Perhaps - but does not Allah say that the penalty for sin is death, destruction, dismemberment? Would you not say that Allah is just? Yet Allah according to you doesnt go around waving his magical 4'th century moon god stick forgiving people freely - YOU as a Muslim have to do something - what kind of god is that? My faith and my God is at least as just as Allah so He isnt going to go around tossing out dispensations and plenaries like He was the Catholic church - God demands a price be paid for sin - that is death. A just God doesnt toss aside everything and since Allah doesnt do that - don't expect mine too

God created people to worship Him - now you are acting silly - the Quran goes into the details just as well as the Bible about the stupidity of man - yet I dont hear you calling Allah names.

Christians can't do whatever they like - they are supposed to do what God wants them to do - but Christians like Muslims screw up

There are no contradictions and as for the corruption of the Bible its far more reliable then the Quran - especially since we didnt kill people over versions just their interpretations - like Muslims did after the death of Muhammad.

Well since i doubt you actually care one whit about what I wrote - nor will you read it - I hope someone finds this answer useful

No, faith is not belief in contradictions. Did God create Islam to torture those that don't accept Islam? Did God create Islam so clitoriectomy could be preformed on little girls? And what exactly is MENTAL EVIDENCE?

The world is filled with contradictions. If you think your Islam Faith is not filled with contradictions, think again and go read your cintradictive Quran...or go read the Times and tell me why Muslims kill muslims. It's a pity that many Muslims think they are right and all others are wrong. Didn't Mohammad say..'To each his own?' Before you criticise the christians, go and put peace among muslims...you mighty Ignoramus!

1. We have three Gods all wrapped into one divine being who covers all the needs.
2. God gave us free will and we CHOSE to crucify him.
3. Christ was a physical man, but spiritually he was perfect, and so above all humans like yourself (and myself for that matter..)

Oh and by the way, the Bible does not contradict itself, it shows us God's miracles, thank you very much.

Have a little faith in something, cuz it sounds like whatever you got going on is gonna send you straight to hell..
