Well time doesn't exist for God. Since time is something that was setup for mankind to understand its own mortality the concept of 14.7 billion years is an irrelevant argument. Time is based off of mans understanding of the universe and its' expanse. Infinite is what God is and infinite has no end or beginning. Thus clearly making the comment of time inconsequential.

In the first place, to say that the earth itself is even 14.7 million years of age or even greater, is a part of the Theory of Evolution, and not according to the Bible or Christian belief. According to the Bible, the Earth is a mere 6 to 7 THOUSAND years old. And if someone tries to argue about aging the earth by carbon-14 testing (I believe that's what it's called), is absolutely unreliable. In carbon-14 testing for example, they can take one "rock", split it into two halves...then perform carbon-14 tests on both halves of the rock, and the results will be "millions of years difference" between the two halves. Therefore carbon-14 is totally unreliable. I personally believe in the Bibles' interpretation concerning the age of the earth, which is somewhere between six and seven thousand years.

I don't think that god really knew we were going to 'happen'. I think once a creature evolved that could ponder god, he/she/whatever, has been watching us ever since and I'm trying to figure out the rest at the current moment...
