The worst way I was ever broken up with was when the guy just decided not to call me back. We were having problems and had even discussed breaking up at one point, but I think he should have at least told me in person. Anyway, what I learned from the experience is you should never expect anything from anyone because they will break your heart if you give them too much.

The post it note was bad, but in high school a guy broke up with me by telling my best friend... he didn't even talk to me about it. I guess that is what I should have expected since he asked me out by having his friend write me a note that I had to circle yes or no on... oh high school love!

I was involved in a serious relationship with a woman named Suzanne. She cheated on me with and then dumped me for a man that she thought was a wealthy computer software executive. It turned out that he was really just a swindler and tried to get $20,000 from her in a real estate scam. I bent over backwards to rescue her from the mess and help her to get rid of the guy and helped her to get her money back.
We got back together and I forgave her for what she had done. Just about the time I thought things were going really well, she met a wealthy man and dumped me for him. This man was not a swindler and they wound up together.

I think there are alot of ways that would be bad. Like in front of alot of people, having a friend tell you, email, text, or just getting ignored. My ex did the ignore thing...he said that i was smart enough to just figure it out, ouch.

By just disappearing. One day all is fine, things seem to be going well...then *poof* no calls, no emails, no return of same...
At least a post-it, tacky as that would be, is something...someone who just chooses to disappear and let you figure it out eventually, is a selfish coward (among other things)...

I was dumped through and email. It was short, and pathetic. It didn't really explain even why he was breaking up with me. It was childish and just proved that we were't meant to be, i don't need to be with a little boy.

XXXXXXXXXXXXX WE were living together for two years. One day I came home from work he had packed and gone. It was my fault though, I was very abusive to him. Physically. He was tired of crying and sleeping in on a chair in the pantry. In hindsight I don't blame him either. XXXXXXXXXXXX
