The same thing happened to me when I inquired about cruises to Jamaica.
I finally got them to stop calling me buy telling them that I had decided to go by plane, and stay on land at a resort.
Haven't heard from them in a couple of months.

It was rumored that you would need a passport to travel to Mexico a couple of months ago but since it is a common destination and some people travel daily for example from El Paso, TX to Juarez, MX people began making a big deal and the Border Patrol and US Gov. I guess decided that a license and birth certificate would suffice for now.

My favorite thing to do is talk to the telemarketer until they send you to who ever it is that is going to get your credit card information.
Then either hang up or lay your phone down.
They are charged premium dollars for those phone calls. Enough of that and they will take you off their phone list and won't sell it either.
But it takes time and patience's so have fun, be polite and they will in a few months...go away.

Tell them you just lost your job and can't possibly afford to go on a cruise - That should fix them. You can ask to be removed from their call list.

Get on the national do not call registry and tell the cruise people you are on that list and for them to quit calling you. By law, they have to stop calling.

next time they call, tell them to take you off the list. Legally if you say that, they're not allowed to call you anymore or you could charge them for harrassment.

Tell them to remove you from their calling list immediately and that you will report them to the FCC if they continue to call.

Say "Take me off your list." Inform them that you will take legal action if they do not.
I believe they are required by law to do so.
