What's sad is belief in God is much more based on evidence, while you atheists religiously believe what you do in the face of mounting evidence. It is evolutionist/atheists who day after day have to reshape their fairytale to fit evidence that always "shocks" and "surprises" them... There is never a time when evolution will be tossed, no matter how obvious it is that it's a pile of sh**.... Instead you will ask your Pastor Charlie how to take new evidence and shape it to fit your God of Time religion.... Make ridiculous assumptions and speculate until you're able to make it seem like your religion might actually be possible.

And why should anyone care about "world peace" or anything that has to do with doing "what's right" if there is no God? Who are we accountable to? Without a God, why not just do whatever we feel like until we die... Wouldn't it be better to get a lot of immediate gratification doing what "feels good" and die at 20, rather than obey rules and die at 80?

Morgan is a classic liberal... He/she said:
"Why do the "faithful" waste time trying to convert others, then? In fact, while we're at it, why would the "faithful" waste time talking to other "faithful"? If they all believe the same thing than what's the point in talking about it? If you don't like it, then *you* should leave, not try to push out everything you don't like. Deal, or shut the hell up."
Is that the free speech you liberals always talk about? "Deal, or shut the hell up."? Should I say the same thing about any liberal who bitches about the President or anything else conservatives do?
What's also interesting about this, is that liberals can't ever accept things I might believe and just "shut the hell up"... I don't believe in gays, but that isn't acceptable by liberals and they will go to the grave telling me how intolerant and close minded I am, rather than open their mind and consider the fact that others have different opinions (and the fact that gays would be able to impregnate if they were real... for starters).
By the way, I find it odd for an athiest to say shut the "HELL" up.... What is this "hell" you speak of? Surely it doesn't exist, right? You also might want to stop saying "Oh my god" and "Jesus Christ".

rabair: What would you say about someone telling us all to leave because *they don't like it? That's exactly what the questioner said. They want everyone else to leave because they don't like something that's being said. It's tanatamount to wanting to ban a book because you don't like it's content. Don't like what you see? Go somewhere else. That's freedom. But you wouldn't understand that, would you? And it's no more ironic for me to use the word hell as it is for you to... let's say... use words that actually exist, instead of ones you just made up, trying desperately to make them mean something.

I don't ask questions of the faithful... but I do answer them. Why? As a public service. We must realize that there are people on this forum who are REALLY seeking answers to questions. Of course, there is no hope in influencing the 'faithful' (closed-minded, intellectually dishonest)... but if we do not interject some rationality into the answers to these questions, then the only input that the seekers of real, meaningful answers will get is the dogmatic, delusional horse crap of Bronze Age mythology and fairy tales.
Saving the world... one mind at a time. (My apologies to Apple Computers.)
(Of course... let's not forget the entertainment value.)

well, you got to admit some of the responses can be quite entertaining, and every once in awhile someone says something surprising that actually adds value. And, if you cause even one person to begin to start thinking objectively you've accomplished something, and therefor move us down that road to world peace you were referring to.

Something both sides can agree on. Finally someone has made since. Now can we go back to the question that don't even matter???

I, too, feel that it's imprudent to try to de-convert someone, but I feel very strongly that it's important to talk to people of all faiths. By isolating ourselves, we allow others to define who we are and what we believe. I feel it's very important to keep an open dialogue.

Dear Christians, Why do you care for people who are so angry at God? Oh that's right, we love like Christ loved us. I would hate for anyone to miss out on a relationship with Him.

In order to show my agreeing with your question, could it be more appropriate to shout "Hallelujah!", give you a "high five", or "knock bones"?
