Well I have seen it happen. Since the passing of the new immigration laws. I live in Orlando and the Cops line the up like 20 at time sometimes asking latinos for their papers. I think that is another type of profiling because some of them were born here.

I think all law enforcement officials should be empowered as duly appointed proxies of the US Border Patrol. I think the citizenry should also be directly lobbied to sign up and participate in this effort, complete with the whole police background thing, the whole 9 yards, put enforcement where it belongs, in the communities that have basically been overrun by illegals and those that aid and abet their entry into our country other than in compliance with standing US immigration laws. We don't need another multibillion dollar gummit kontrak, we need the CITIZENS of our country to be directly called forth to participate. GOOD! Police officers are sworn to uphold the laws, all laws. So why not immigration laws as well? They should have the legal right to arrest these illegal criminals.

Depends on the state, in some states, yes it is. If you are illegal, obvioulsy you are not going to have a green card or social, are you? He proabably may not have had a license. Police need some form of ID to check out your record when they pull you over, just like they check out EVERYONE'S record when they are pulled over.
