Yes it is highly addictive, however the addiction when it comes to smoking is more mental adiction because although nicotine is highly addictive the pangs from cravings are very small – i.e. you can go a whole night without the cravings being strong enough to wake you up wanting to smoke, where as with other addictive substances this is not the case.

Yes it's the part of a cigarette which makes it addictive. To prove how strong it is...you can become addicted to the nicotine in cigarettes after smoking just 2. However it is not impossible to stop being addicted to it- you can by patches or gum etc which ween you off of it.

As far as i know the only thing more addictive than nicotine is crack cocaine which hits the brain a matter of seconds quicker than nicotine .

Nicotine is one of the most addictive substances known to man. The most common way to take nicotine is by smoking. There are also thousand of other harmful chemicals in cigarette smoke so if you havent tried it then DONT......

'Old Nick' is probably the most addictive drug you can get 'over the counter', next is alcohol.
It affects the pleasure centres of the brain so that you need a 'puff'.
Only way to stop smoking is not to start in the first place.

yes it is!!!!! Once you really like it your body cannot stop required it. That's why people who is trying to stop smoking have to use something with nicotine bubble gums or something like that

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've tried to quiet smoking for 6 years now and never seem to be able to stop. people say its mental but in all reality nicotine is a chemical and your body becomes dependent of chemicals
