Wow! People just don't understand us atheists (not you).

They think it's all about hating god or the sad life we live that led us to not believe in god. It's about living our lives without gods or religion. Living as good humans and without thinking that some prayer or ritual is going to help us in our life.

As for you question: We do need to do more for atheism because obviously people don't understand it and refuse to accept it as a viable lifestyle.

If I believe in God and there is no God, I have lost nothing. But, if atheism is wrong you have lost everything.
You can't look at the cosmos or at a new baby and think it all just happened. In space there is nothing but a vacuum.
Jesus is real, history says so. Read Genesis it tells the order in which God created the world and Science agrees with it.
I know God is real because He lives in my heart.

I can certainly pray for those who are victims of atheism. If you didn't believe in God, you wouldn't hate Him so at least we know that you believe that He exists. If you were reading the Bible and absorbing and witnessing all of the miracles that God has brought us through the Bible everyday, you might not have so much hatred in your heart. Try relaxing and opening your heart to understand it more, then make an intelligent decision. Nobody will ever make fun of a person who discovers God after declaring that they were an atheist. It is not our place to judge anyone, just to welcome them into the kingdom of God.

Actually I have. I've considered being more outspoken about my atheism to people I meet daily, but I'm still shy as always about my personal beliefs. I may get over this someday.

Did you know that atheists are really just people... rebelling against God? Of course they believe in God, because you don't oppose something so strongly if you don't think it exists! That would be a total waste of time! LOL

Chew on this, if an atheist opposes something, it's usually religion, not god. Religion does exist. Pointless, and destructive, but it exists.
