I have owned 2 Italian Greyhounds, and look forward to adopting more in the near future. They are a wonderful breed to own, as long as you have patience and don't mind laughing out loud. They can be potty trained but it takes a while to get them used to that. Cold weather is not their friend. I bought my dogs clothes from Ebay. IE( fleece jackets, booties, sweaters) They are so loveable and affectionate. In the same token they are very active and love the outdoors. They need space to run and keep their muscles conditioned. I would suggest this breed to anyone who has time to invest in a dog, as with any pet they are not asked to be bought and put in a cage for most of their time. I love greyhounds but Italian Greyhounds have a special place in my heart. And you might be wondering why would you laugh at them. Well it is because of their dental structure when you look at them they always appear to be smiling. And that is one of their best features among the many.

They are great dogs. NotImportant had a pretty good answer. I would like to add that they are little clowns. They are also one of the most stubborn breeds to potty train. I would only recommend Italian Greyhounds to EXPERIENCED dog owners and I mean experienced, not just that you had a dog when you were a kid.
