Is it OK to use the computer. Is it OK to have fans blowing on you, with hair wet and wet shirt, in the house during an electrical storm?

It's okay to use the computer in terms of your safety, but it isn't a good idea. If the storm causes a power surge you could lose your computer. I always turn mine off and unplug it whenever there is a bad storm. I have a very good surge protector, but I'm not willing to take any chances.

My father always told us that it was a bad idea to use any of the plumbing in both kitchen and bath during a thunderstorm, because they could cause a shock....but that would apply even if your clothes were dry.

Another precaution, though it doesn't have anything to do with wet clothes, is to stay off the phone. Lightning can and does hit phone lines and you can get quite a shock if it does. Cordless phones and cell phones are okay as they aren't connected to anything.

That may be more than you wanted to know :-), but I tend to give detailed answers.
