No sweetie, it is t/v propaganda, i.e. adverts. If you live in the so called reall word, it is impossible. Best thing to do, is knock on the door, say your t.v. is broken, and aske them to turn the volume up. Also tell them you cannot afford a license, and they will turn it down, because being north of England ignorant folkes they will not wish you to have anything that they have, or are paying for. This way, they turn it down JUST TO ANNOY YOU. O.K. peace...

You can get programmable remotes which you aim at the telly and hold a button until it 'locks' onto the particular signal that telly uses.
So long as you can get within range you will be able to turn the telly up / down / over / off etc.
I used to work in a high street store where we sold these and had hours of fun annoying the Argos store opposite who had 20 telly's on display which kept mysteriously playing up!!

It will not work if there is a wall between the remote and TV. A long distance remote should work through a window. So if you can see her TV from the window it should work, otherwise no. If she is downstairs from you, you are SOL. Evenif it did work, it won't do you any good. She'll just turn in up again.

If you know the type of tv that they have and you have a universal remote that reaches that far you can. You may have to try several different codes to get the right one though, but it will work

thats really funny lol any universal remote should work as long as she isn't too far away. You'll just need to know what kind of tv she has so you can program the remote to work on her TV. Email me if that works, because its a good idea and I might find that I need to use it if it works lol

Yes you can, but you need to figure out what kind of TV it is first, so you can set the code for it. I did this with my neighbor. He would fall asleep on his couch so I would go to his window behind the couch and crank up his TV. He would then wake up in a daze and look around. This went on for weeks. He asked me if I had thought our apartment building was haunted. I told him no, and asked him why he said his TV volume gets really loud in the middle of the night. He also said that sometimes it turns itself on and than gets really loud. Awsome

A universal remote would work for that but the signal can not travel through glass so the window would have to be open.

Maybe
it depends on the compatibility between her TV and your remote
You could get a universal remote and if you can get line of sight to her TV...you can pick up the codes needed to control it
But she'd probobly notice

You need a universal remote control, it will work on any brand of TV, and is sold at any electronics store. Good Luck!

sometimes when they are the same brands you can do that, but i'm not sure the distance that has to be between them. One of my remotes to a DVD player works to my tv, and they were 2 different purchases.
