You want to hit the deepest part of the pond if there are no natural ledges or objects in the water. If there are logs or rocks, catfish love to lurk just underneath. For simplicities sake, you can use a ball of cheese or a bit of hot dog as bait. Good luck.

The best place to catch catfish will be near cover like thick weeds or sunken logs. Fish deep with the rankest bait you can find; chicken livers if possible but worms will do as well. Catfish seem to be nocturnal so you will probably do better at night.

Try the deepest part of the pond early morning or late evening. For bait use hog wild dip bait, I preferred blood, dip with a plastic dip worm.

Mullet Gut and buy it from any Seafood market. If you can't get that then use Bass Shiners the large ones. Liover and Hearts and all that junk just doesn't really do the justice.
