McDonald's was much less greasy in the 80's. The food was better. Most McDonald's in other countries taste better than they do in America. The best McDonald's I've ever had was in Russia, Sweden, and Morocco.

My Dad told me that McDonald's uses earthworms in there beef. He said back in the day there beef was real and more flavorful, now he said it has no flavor and Micki D's covers's the no flavor with Lot's of Ketchup and mayo. Also, all of the fast food restaurants have chemicals in there food to make it last longer, they fry there food in Lard (Animal Fat) to make it taste better because of all the chemicals. The fries, they last a long time. If you ate fast food in your car, and you dropped a fry in the seat. And you cleaned your car out a month later, and you see the fry what does it look like? It still looks fresh, it's just hard as a rock. That is the chemicals in the food. So don't eat it.

McDonald's fries are definitely not what they once were. They try to cook them in "healthy" oil now (whatever that means.) It's just not the same.
However, I think one part of the problem with fast food is that I'm now an adult and back then I was a kid. Superman ice cream - once one of the great delicacies now is revolting.
Taste buds change as you grow. Kids' taste buds aren't as developed as adults'. That's why they love mild tasting stuff like mac and cheese and hot dogs. Adult taste buds need more seasoning and flavor to call something good.
Plus, I'm guessing you weren't too worried about your waistline back when you were four and you feel a bit more guilty when you eat that way today.

I believe you are sick of it because it is the same food over and over again. The novelty of going out to a fast food restaurant has worn off, going to McDonald's is no longer a treat for many people because they eat fast food on a regular basis. Plus service in places like NYC (and I'm sure other areas as well) is terrible, which is a reason to avoid those places... Subway is #1 now because they use fresh baked bread and fresh ingredients, and it is a bit more of a healthier option for our society.

It's probably just all in your mind. I remember McDonalds seemed to taste great when I was a kid. Maybe because my family didn't eat there all the time. So it was like a treat. As I got older, I would go there all the time. Eventually it just got to the point were't it sucked. Or maybe my tastes just changed. As you get older, you try new things. So eventually the taste(s) we associate with fast food kinda gets moved down our internal list of preferred foods. Hope this helps.

I am always telling my kids that when I was little fast food tasted so much better they would rather have me cook then go out. I was born in 1977 and I remember when there was actual meat on a burger at Mcdonalds

I stopped eating fast food, but there is definitely truth in your analyzation. As a kid, visiting a fast food restaurant was a special treat we looked forward to, but hey we were kids, what did we know. I see your point, one would think, since they are a chain restaurants, all recipes, special sauces, etc., should be uniform and progress in time - but guess NOT. I have found in the past that it also depends on the location you go to, and how long the food was sitting under the heating lamp...

It's absolutely nowhere near as good as it used to be. Too many crybabies have demanded that McDonald's and others switch to healthier foods - different grease, different meat, different buns, etc.
If I were looking for a healthy meal, would I be eating fast food? Come on, people!
They don't really care about our health, this crap comes from the bunny huggers who don't want meat served anywhere at anytime. By making the food less tasty, and filing tons of frivolous lawsuits, they hurt the company's revenues. That is their goal.
If I don't like something, I don't buy it. America is supposed to be that simple, but liberals can't let others live their lives. They start protests and lawsuits to try to make companies change to their liking. They're trying it now with KFC, but, thankfully, KFC is fighting back!
Someone had to stand up to these thugs. It's about time!

Fast food places as I remember them in my teens were White Castles which are still good today but I feel were excellent in my days. Then came the Drive In's such as A&W Rootbeer Stands, then came along Dairy Queen of which I don't believe they sold food back then only Ice Milk called Dairy Queen. The Drive In's were the best in the 50's. Good hand made hamburgers.

nicely that's a sweeping actuality, lol. relies upon on the eating position and the domicile chef. in case you at the on the spot are not a custom dinner at domicile, an excellent style of issues are going to flavor tremendous once you bypass out ingesting. if you're a hectic and imaginative practice dinner at domicile, the probabilities of having a meal extra acceptable at a eating position is going down, relying on what classification/style of eating places you general. an same is going for in case you do not practice dinner at domicile although. It relies upon what eating places you bypass to. once you how you could get imaginative on your kitchen at domicile, you'll discover that theory doesn't carry authentic as a lot, or a minimal of not sense the favor to eat out as a lot.
