My question is to those of you who's parents came from Mexico illegaly. Where do you stand on the immigration topic?
My father came to the US illegaly while he was still in his teens. He knew that if he stayed in Mexico working on his fathers farm for the rest of his life that he would never make enough money to live the life he always dreamed of. 30 years have passed and he's been working his *** off since then. He's made his way to the top of his company and is very successful. I'm proud of my father and the life he has made for himself and his family. It took him a while but he is now a US citizen. Because of the struggles my father went through (coming here illegaly, not knowing anyone or the language) I have respect and sympathy for those who are going through it now. I may not agree with some of the things illegals do, but if it weren't for my father doing what he did, I wouldn't be here today. If it were ME in MY fathers shoes 30 yrs ago, I'd do the same he did. Wouldn't you?

My father stole an American's job???? What kinds of people do you see on the street begging for money? That's right, Americans! What kinds of people do you see on the street begging for jobs??? That's right, Mexicans!
Those jobs are out there for everyone, who's fault is it the white man won't take it?
My father WORKED his *** off, not begged for money.

Im not generalizing ALL white people to be lazy. Just as I am not generalizing all Mexicans to be good honest hardworking people. There's good and bad in ALL races.

It is human nature for people to want to better themselves and their lives. It's the same reason that people immigrate legally or illegally.
They seek a better quality of life that they know exists elsewhere. When the legal option is closed to you and you are desperate, you will do just about anything. Why do theives steal? Because they want what they see that other people have. Some so easily and carelessly without working for it at all. People will do whatever they need to do when they are desperate.
I am not making a moral judgment, nor do I equate illegal immigrant to theives, I guess my point is that as a society, with haves and have nots, the have nots are always going to want to have what the haves have. It is our society of elitism which creates this situation.

My mom came here illegaly also, she is now in process to become a US citizen, I am also very proud of her because after raising 6 kids on her own, ( without any help from her family or goverment) working her butt off for many years, she now owns her own company. I agree that illegal immigration is waaay out of control, but I also understand that many illegals do come here just to work and make a better life for them and their family. I would also do the same thing as my mom if I lived in the conditions she did many years ago.

No, my grandfather on my father's side migrated here legally just before America became involved in World War II. On my mother's side, my grgrgrgr grandfather migrated here from England and fought in the American Revolution. Before that my grandfathers were Choctaw, Shawnee, and Ottawa. Illegal aliens are criminals, not immigrants, and these criminals are trying to hide under the hardships of real immigrants. Most of the illegals that cross the border can not pass a background check, or a medical exam. Good immigrants show courage, and endurance by abiding by the laws.
My husband's family is from Mexico. It took them six years to migrate here back in the sixties, but they did it, and find the Mexican Illegals in our country to be a shame to the real Mexican, and American Mexican people. I have family in Mexico that is still waiting to come here, and now I am hearing that people want the immigration process shut down, and redone. The current immigration laws are the best in the world, yet they are blatantly ignored by criminals, not immigrants. Every Illegal must realize that to real American and real American Immigrants they are nothing more than criminals. My compassion for these criminals was spent on the last two amnesty bill that not only encouraged millions more to break our laws, but increased the number of hostiles against America in our country.

tell them that lower than the present guidelines that they could sponser their ascertain(s) for citizenship and to ascertain how. in the adventure that they do issues accurate, the father and mom can get citizenship. lower than that new bill, they doesn't have had this characteristic because the fellow can purely sponsor their better 0.5 and little ones. an excellent style of the illegals should be grateful that the recent bill did not bypass. besides you ought to inform the acquaintances that they ought to easily go by skill of the motions to get their father and mom legal. you ought to not tell on them. i'm antagonistic to unlawful immigration in the adventure that they are doing so knowingly. i do not ignore that they understand what they're doing, yet they're only misinformed on a thanks to grow to be legal. i assume that is what they need to do, so teach them how and help them.

Noe of that justifies the breaking of the law. Even Mexico has stiff immigration laws. Laws in in place for a reason and no one, I repeat, no one is above the law. ANYONE who comes here illegally is a criminal. Plain and simple!

My father came as a migrant farm worker and brought my mom and the family over. He lost his visa when he overstayed it, my mom was never documented until my older brother got his papers and petitioned for her.
