Interesting! Looking at your responses, I can see how your question is interpreted diferently. It appears to me that you are curious to know how many people believe in God/Jesus Christ/The Holy Spirit as opposed to those that die in the name of Allah or Muhammed (i.e. the belief of some middle eastern muslims). Well if I'm correct in my interpretation, and to answer your question, I believe in God not god. Notice the difference?

I have never met you,but I feel like I need to tell you something.
Let me start off by asking you some questions.( just answer by yourself )
Do you consider yourself to be a good person?? ( answer )

OK...have you ever told a lie??

what does that make you??

Have you ever stolen anything, regardless of worth??

If so, what does that make you??

And that is only looking at two of the Ten Commandments.
We could look at the other 8,but because of time, I will not.

So based on the questions that you answered above-if you were to die,and stand before a Holy, pure, spotless God on judgment day, would you be innocent or guilty??

Would you go to Heaven or Hell??

Jesus was beaten, whipped and nailed to a cross, so that you and I would not have to go to hell.He took the place of us,and was our substitute.
All you ( and everybody )has to do is believe on the Lord Jesus Christ ( and what he did for you )and you will be saved.

I hope this helps you.
Thanks again and God bless!

God did send His Son, Jesus, to die for all of us in order for our sins to be forgiven. God did this as the greatest act of love (John 3:16). NO, he does no want your sons to be murder and to die for him.

I love this question. Being raised Catholic I always wondered how someone dying could do anything for me. Actually I find it more understandable to consider the suffering and crucifixion of Christ to be God saying "let man throw EVERYTHING they can at you and I will show you that in the end, I WIN!!" And no, you can never (despite what the liberal theologians say) ever justify killing in teh name of God.

Are you directing this question toward Muslims?

Because I am Wiccan. The Earth created life from herself and it is my duty as a person to care for that which gave me life, and for all the other life it gives - even you.

BTW, Jesus was nothing more than a very talented high wizard.

God of course did the first but please take a look around do you really think people care what God wants? They use his name of course but if your a person of great power your name will always be misused.

I'm glad to say that I do not worship a God that would kill his own son.

You cannot look only at the death of Christ, and make sense of the Paschal Sacrafice. One must consider his death in light of his resurrection.
