It wouldnt work if it should stay as long distance forever.... as long as you have the trust to each other and if youre meant for each other, it would work.... Me and my girl are now on a long distance relationship and our love even gets stronger... as the saying goes "absence makes the heart grow fonder".... You should take more effort for each other and communication should always be there... you should show that you are trying your best to make the relationship work. Never mind the telephone bills...

I'll share something personal to answer your question.I had a girlfriend for two years and then her family migrated, she went with them.I live in Trinidad and Tobago and she moved to New York.My mom lives in the New York so she was arranging for me to move also.I would say that we were truly in love, well I was any way.It was taking a while for my papers to come through but in the first six months of being apart she had already kissed someone, she told me that the person kissed her and that she pulled away.I being the typical good guy forgave her, only thinking of the next time I'll she her again. To cut a long story short I am still in Trinidad and she wound up sleeping with her boss in two years time.I was lied to,deceived, made to believe that she was just as faithful to me as I was to her.Until that very grim day when I asked the right question i suppose and she told me everything. She even had the (balls) to tell me that she still loved me and that she can't wait to see me.I was faithful and she was not.So my answer to the question is that you may have what it takes to make it work but there is no guarantee that the other person will give as much as you to make it work.I personally don't think that they work unless both people are really equally committed and where do you ever find that these days.GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

commitment, passion and james bond skills so you dont get caught and reported when you eventually cheat. Depending on how far the people in the relationship really are, its really hard to have a good loving long distance relationship.

i like to say my husband and i are in a long distance relationship b/c he is in the military and deployed. we basically just do what we can. we email like crazy, he can only call 3x a week for 15 minutes each and i go out of my way to be at home when he calls, i mail him care packages all the time...we communicate every chance we get. that's all we can do. i tell him EVERYTHING, literally. EVERYTHING. i email him at least 5x a day every day.
