The only persons/businesses it would hurt would be the service stations/convenience stores that sell gasoline.

The oil companies themselves would pay no attention due to the fact that they have already made their profit by selling the gas/diesel to these stations.

And if by some chance the oil companies profits were tied directly to profits from c-stores, they would simply make up their money the next day when all the consumers returned to the pumps to again fill their tanks.

They probably will raise the prices beause they know people will need a fill-up after that day; however, I did read somewhere that if we stop buying from exxon mobil gas stations they will be forced to lower prices because they are the main distributors...I personally don't buy from there anyway because I can almost always find another gas station with lower prices.

It will not make one bit of dent in their profits. In fact if you advertise it, the gas stations will just raise the price the day before and the day after.

It wouldn't make a difference. You'd never get everyone to do it, and even if you did, the gas companies would just make their money back the next few days after.

Sounds like a plan and something I would do. But be serious, do you honestly think you could get everyone to go along with that. I don't. There's lots of people who don't care one way or the other. Money burns a hole in their pocket and they have no respect for it. They continue on with life as if it is a game and they are going along for the ride..........

when will people FINALLY UNDERSTAND, it is not the gas stations that make the prices for the gas, when the cost of oil goes up, gas prices go up, when oil prices go down, gas prices go down, i know gas prices suck, if you can't afford the gas, then drive less, take a bus or walk or ride a bike, i know easier said then done

no, b/c every1 will buy gas one day before or one day after, resulting in the same amount of gas bought...plus i'm sure you couldn't even get 50% of the pop. to agree with it...
