God sees all which means he sees rape, murder, torture, etc. He's not doing anything about it, maybe he enjoys watching it? Is god a sadist?

No. do you really want God to interfere with all the unholiness down here ?

Let's say you were about to think a bad thought, Would you want God to send excedrin headache number 5 to you everytime you have a bad thought ? How about with every action of every human being God intervenes with lightning bolts to strike those that do evil. It would be like your parents following you everywhere you go with a stick to hit you with when you don't do what they say. I am sure you don't want God to be that way.

God is doing something about it. In the end He will judge everyone for all their actions and thoughts. That is called the Great White Throne Judgement .

Plus you focus on the negative. How about all the wonderful things God has done and is doing. He gives you a beautiful air and you pollute it. He gives you rivers and oceans and you dump trash in it.
He gives you land and the government makes money off of it without giving Him any. He gives you human beings to love and you kill them. I think people are the evil ones and the sadists in all this.

No. God doesn't rape, murder, or torture anybody. Only man does those things.

What's He doing about it? He's given every human being the gift of free-will which allows them to choose whether or not to do those things.

What have YOU done to stop people from doing those things?

Only a sadist would blame those horrible things on God and absolve man from any responsibility.

Dear Jack, You've asked several questions along these lines. What's your aim? God is not a sadist and takes no joy in the horrid things MEN do to other men and women. He is doing something about it, and will make all things right in time, but the ins and outs of this questions are too great for this type of forum?

What is your interest in God?

"God" in a very non-denominational way, provides this world as a sort of proving ground for humans. We exist for nothing other than observation and judgement. All the negative things you described stem directly from one person deciding to engage in a particular activity. Without rapists, muderers and torturers there can be no rape murder or torture. The answer to your question is "NO". God is nothing because he is everything. Only humans can decide to engage in behaviors that conform to the concepts and ideas that define things like rape and murder. The truth of it is that all of us are capable of deciding to do whatever we want. Regardless of your religious beliefs each decision you make defines who and ultimately what you are.

More of an absentee landlord. God set up this hairball and then went on an extended vacation to hobnob with His fellow deities on the best way to get burnt offering stains out of your flowing white robes.
Seriously, why do you think there is a God? What is your evidence, other than a dog-eared, inconsistent bit of second-rate sci-fi left over from a couple-three millennia ago?
Seen any miracles? How about saints who truly did miraculous (as opposed to "real nice") stuff? Seen any burning bushes, heard any angels crying hosannah's from the balcony?
I thought not.
God, if He ever was there to begin with, left in boredom before the first vertebrate walked the Earth. So don't blame him if your neighbor eats your cat.

no no no.
God hates seeing all of that. Bad things happen to good people, its true. God is such an amazing and mericiful God and everytime someone is raped or abused he cries and hurts for that person.
He feels awful every single time.
Satan is the sick one.
He is the one that inspires all of the rapists and abusers to do what they do.
God is not a sadist.

I think the free will brigade have it all wrong here.

God has participated in all kinds of killing in the Bible including the great flood in which He said, "And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die."

These do not sound like the words of a compassionate loving God. This is hate speak from a monster who has decided to commit genocide. Even Hitler himself did not talk like this.

If God exists exactly as depicted in the Bible he is an evil vicious sadist. Anyone who does not agree clearly has not read of His deeds in the OT.

God is a God of choice.. he can't force Himself unto anyone for any reason.. while He allows bad things to happen that doesn't mean He enjoys them which is the definition of sadist..

I doubt he enjoys watching it but he want s to give everyone the free will to choose what to make of their lives. I mean think of a world were God intervenes in everything be it rape or murder. Were on earth not in heaven you know?

Anything in our sinful nature is our own fault because ...

Genesis 1:26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, [b] and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

When we failed and made the choice to live in sin and became haters of God, we will pay the consequences of our own actions. We got ourselves into this mess. God gave us a mind. We have the ability to cry out for help and He is a forgiving God, but this is mans world.
