Those are called pegs.

BUT, they are not designed for people to stand on to tag along. You can really damage the wheel axle if this is a peg that screws on to the axle.

You can get cheap pegs for $12-14, but if the axle bends a new one can cost any $5-10 and labor can cost $15-25.

They are to be use for freestyle, not for transportation....

They're called pegs and they are not for riding double. Tandems are made for riding double. They are a great way to destroy an axle though.

Freestyle pegs. They go on freestyle BMX bikes to do tricks on. i have to admit, I've been doubled on 'em a couple times and it was fun, but it's not really their purpose. ;)
