I freak out in huge crowds. Especially if the people are so crowded together that they are rubbing up against my arm or something. I start to sweat & stuff. Small spaces dont bother me so its not claustrophobia. Its called social anxiety disorder. Google it for more info. Bad cases require meds and/or therapy.

Most likely anxiety. Well, panic disorder, to be exact. When you're at a mall, do you start getting cold sweats, shaky, heart beats faster, short of breath? Yeah, I know that all too well. Its your fight or flight response kicking in when it shouldn't be. I guess that's why it's called a disorder. I recommend going to see a therapist about it. They can help you deal with it and eventually make it go away. In the meantime, just take deep breaths and just keep repeating to yourself that there's nothing to worry about. If it gets too much, just leave. It's ok to feel this way. You're not going to die. Oh, and if its a mall in L.A. that makes you feel this way, then it's perfectly normal. :)

Panic\anxiety disorder is what it sounds like to me.I have panic\anxiety and agoraphobia and i do not like to leave the house.I won't leave the house unless i really, really have to.
The best thing to do is talk to your doctor about this.He will be able to help you.Sometimes it takes medication to help with this disorder. When you get this feeling in a mall, just say to yourself i'm not gonna die,i'm ok,and slowly start making your way to outside. If you are driving, sit in your car and take deep breathes to calm your self, then go home and calm yourself down by just telling your self everything is gonna be alright. You made it home safe so please call a doctor. You will be fine.

You could be suffering from either a panic and/or anxiety disorder. I get these same sort of attacks occasionally and that's what it is. It's a terrible feeling and all I can do is get out of wherever I am and head for my car.
I would see your family doctor first and tell him/her about this. If needed they can refer you to a physician who specializes in this sort of thing. Good luck.

don't get me wrong..I'm not a doctor..but what i believe u have is called social anxiety behavior. I also feel that way in the mall and heavily populated areas when I'm by myself. now when I'm with my wife or daughter..I'm OK(kinda)..but by myself..i feeleveryones' eyes on me..and it's unnerving.the older i get..the better i feel. you might want to do some research on it or ask your doctor or nurse on it.
