and thank god for all the possessions that they own, when it all belongs to the American Indians.
The whiteman brought over his biblical god and jesus, and killed most of the Indians, either with disease or weapons and then stole all their land in commission of the name of god and jesus, it may seem trivial to some people of today, but I happen to think it's an atrocity.

And then Christians have the nerve to claim that America was build on Christian principles.

America needs to be educated in this area, instead of spreading their holier-than-thou Christian bullshit.

A Lakota friend of mine has a bumper sticker that reads,
"America, love it or give it back"

The truth is it.. NOT.. No one had or has anymore right to this land than anyone else. The indians didn't begin here either everyone came some somewhere else. I am an old man 54 years now I have walk this land (All of it in the west). I had some young indian boy walk up to me a few years ago and tell this this same crap. he was 18 or 19 years old I have been here longer than he has, he should get out. Then I thought of all the boat people that came here after the end of the war in south east Asia. 1975, just over 30 years yet I welcomed them to America. My family has been here since 1620. What difference does that make.... NONE
If you think that anyone has any more rights than anyone else because of the color of their skin or the length of time their families have been in America you are a Bigot. My faith in Christ has nothing to do with these feelings other than welcoming everyone who is willing to obey our laws to this country.. I don't see that in your words. By the way I have worked all my life to own my home and support my family. I have NEVER stolen any thing from anyone. Only my parents and God have given me a thing.. Both have given me life..

I agree with you totally but then again who's land is not stolen? There has always been war on earth and there will always be and I doubt that anyone winning a war will ever be guilty about it. I must say though that the fight against the Indians was more of a massacre than a real war. Nevertheless do I think that the people living today should not be made responsible for the deeds of their ancestors who lives 200 years or more ago. What should they do? Move out and come back to Europe? The best they can do is pray for the Indians.

I couldn't agree with you more and I hate you for it. Let me explain before you report me, LOL. I am 1/4 native american and I have struggled for years between the christian faith and the Indian beliefs not knowing which way to go. I do believe that there is one God, either way, and honestly, at least from the Lakota ways, there is not much difference between the two beliefs. about 95 percent of what has happened , was the governments doing, but since they were christians......... either way it is a travesty. I, as a christian/lakota faith holder, also know this country was not founded on the gospel, but on the blood of the indians, the rape, murder, starvation etc.... But not all who came here were like that, and alot had tried to or did make peace. The first place I would look to though is to the american government, who, if they wanted, could give back at least a little of what they took but are not doing. Casino's are nearly payback. Just my opinion.

Actually, the indians never claimed to own the land. They did not believe land should be owned. It was not a possession. They lived in harmony with nature. They respected all life. I think it is sad that those people tried to kill their beliefs.

I really think it is horrible when an indian abandons their belief, and becomes another vain, judgemental, intollerant, religious person, but they say they are proud of where they come from? The indians had it right.

Because Christianity is holier than everything else so Christianity has the right to steal, murder, and otherwise eliminate everyone else. Christianity is a religion of hate, violence, and war. If Christians in America thank God for what they've stolen, it's because they believe they're more entitled to it than those they stole it from.

I think it's horrible the way that American Indians were treated. However, the "white man"'s purpose was to create a nation free from religious oppression, and that is why it called a Christian nation.

However unforgivable their actions may be, it was many, many years ago, and none of those people are alive today. It is time to let things go, and anger never solves anything anyway.

Oh, boy! Here we go!

I think people somehow got this idea that Indians all coexisted peacefully until the white man came. This is a lie. Before the white man showed up, Indian tribes went to war against other Indian tribes.

If you really want to be educated in American history, understand all of it, not just a certain point of view.

As a Christian, and a Native American.
I can. I am thankful to God, my creator for everything that I am blessed with. I give thanks to him every day.

I have found salvation in Jesus Christ. My life has never felt so whole until I found Jesus. With a open heart and an open mind I embraced Christianity and found myself feeling free. Its unexplainable.

Religion is not something to follow, Jesus Christ is. Religion is created by man, it can get corrupt. The Bible, God and Prayer is the only thing to rely on. Christians are not "holier-than-thou", we are all created equal.

America does not stand alone in its imperialistic past. There is nothing I can do to change that. Just like I do not hold German people responsible for the Holocaust...or hating every Jewish person because their ancestors persecuted Jesus. People now cannot help what people of the past did. You need to educate yourself, and stop trashing the US just because its the chic thing to do. You are no better than any of these self-righteous fundie Christians.

In that case, you will have to blame all the people who have lived..past and present; since all areas of our world have changed hands over and over again. It's true that Europeans conquered the native Indians but remember that the Indians conquered, also conquered those they met here. It's the same with all peoples...check your History.
One more thing, if you live in the US and think you are morally illegal here, you should try going back to your original roots...which really does not exist. The US is made up of peoples of all races, cultures and religions and if you must blame, you need to blame everyone..including yourself. Or maybe you are like my sister who look to blame others for every little thing. Grow up Lady!
