How about she told me husband that I was stealing his money when he was bring home 600 a month and I was bringing home 1200. I was paying for his college and my engagment ring at the time. My car and his car and insurance. She also called him and told him that he needed to bring the ring and the ring paper work home and give it to her. I called her back and told her that she would have to pry it off of my cold dead hand.

Or

She was at our wedding and told the person standing next to her that she wished my husband would have smeared the cake all over my face and then shoved it down my throat.

Or

I am not allowed to sit on the furniture in her home.

or

she told my son that his other grandmother (my mom) was a bad person because he fell down the stairs at her house and got a goose bump on his head. My mother was no where near him or the house at the time.

or

She started to scream at me in my own home in front of my son that I was a bad parent becasue I did not have anything clean for my son to wear. He clean clothes were in the basement since he (my son) figured out how to open the draws and throw all of his clothes on the floor.

or

She told me I was nuts when I told her that I was a paul bearer at my grandmother funeral. She say that paul bearer are not to be girls. If my husbands dies while she is still alive heaven forbid on both sides I will only have female paul bearers just to tick her off.

I could go on all night.

My mother-in-law is spawn and I've tried and will keep trying to get along with her for the sike of my husband.I just know I'm not going to let her split us up. She did it with her other son and now she has her 30 year old divorce son back at her house. She complains about him being there but it was her fault they got a divorce. So with my new job offer that is away from TEXAS I plan on taking at least all she can do then is call (all the time) or visit every three years.HAHA

My MIL always had best intentions. She invaded our privacy, was nosey and a complete worry wart. She always got on my nerves so badly because she just couldnt mind her own business! She would nag both me and my husband and make sure we got xyz taken care of.

Six months ago she was hit head on by a drunk driver. She is still recovery from her injuries which are not healing properly. Anyway, she's a changed woman now. She's frail, sad, sullen. I am now realizing how much she actually cared for me and that all of her annoying qualities were actaully focused on helping my husband and I do the best we can.

So yeah, I've heard the MIL horror stories. Now mine's just a little different...
