If you watch the fight you will see that Moorer totally under estimated the big man and took a crushing shot to the head and that was all she wrote.

Hello Jane,
All the other answerer's have forgotten their manners...first let me say that you have a lovely way about you and that you ask the best questions of anyone in the Yahoo world.
Now as to Mr George... Well you see at his "age" there is a great amount of power that is generated from the gonads. (that's why boxers tend to gargle and spit so much) And while all the others were busy doing the exercise thing... well, Mr Foreman was doing the RIGHT thing, mainly making good use of an "intensive gonad conditioning regimen". (And making a lot of little Georges in the process too!)
Now THIS is the perfect answer to your question. You may think that there are other good ones, (isn't that all somewhat subjective anyway?) but I do recommend that you pick this one as the best. & U R sweet if u do! thin-Q vry mch!
Now of course I should disclaim that I'm not an expert on pugilism...I'm just a "know it all" and I think this proves it.
And, Oh yeah, he had good basic footwork and balance.
Isn't humor the best medicine ball, of all?
(p.s. hope you weren't offended by any of this-tis all in fun)

He had faith and believed in his dream. Michael Moorer was beating him every round until Big George hit him with a good one two combo for the 10 count.

He was shielded from fighting anyone decent. Plus being "champion" is a bit of a misnomer as it seemed any Tom Dick or Harry could set up their own "championship" and invite whoever they liked to compete.

A lot of hard work, healthy living, the right mental perspective. He and his crew worked on his strengths, put together a game plan and stuck with it. He kept moving to his left and waited for the right moment to throw his big dog.
