If our farmers are in such need of workers, why aren't they advertising the jobs?

I know allot of people that would take them. Americans.
Before you call me racist, my husband is half Mexican, but he is also a third generation born American. He has been forced to work for low wages almost all of his life because of the fact that he looks full blooded Mexican. Many illegals become aggresive toward him because he doesn't speak any spanish, which if you want to be politically correct is Mexican Spanish, just like American English. If there were not so many American laborers out of work the illegal alien issue might have been able to slip under the fence. However, too many are committing other crimes besides crossing our borders, and sadly, those also the ones that thought it was fitting to wave a Mexican Flag on American soil in Protest of American Laws. As broadcast on channel 34Fox News the illegals have also brought back into our country diseases that we had pretty much rid the country of. Illegals are criminals by choice, just like the American gangs.

If being poor is no excuse for these American criminals, it can not be an excuse for someone who is not a citizen.

Many farmers simply don't want to pay a wage on which an American can live even humbly. They don't want to have to pay social security matching funds, or worker's comp, etc. Yet, many farmers are recipients of corporate welfare in America. They are paid not to grow things. The agricultural law of the country is ridiculous. I understand the necessity of keeping their prices high by coordinating the amount of cotton, for example, that they produce - but the government ought not pay them not to grow cotton in order to keep the supply low and the price high.

Hey girl, I really feel for you. My husband is of Mexican descent too, and he doesn't know Spanish. Kids used to beat him up in school because he wasn't a "real Mexican." Factories, meat packing plants are all good jobs that always need people year round. Alot of times farmers are not advertising, it is about who you know. Drive by some of those farms,if you can, go up to the guy in charge and ask if he needs more people to work. Search agricultural harvesting jobs. Even if people aren't looking now, fill out an application. They may need to fill a spot later. Go Everywhere. Go down your main street or downtown and visit every single place. Visit your industrial district or employment office.

are you kidding me? why dont u go work from dusk till dawn out in the sun doing hard labor for minimum wage? nobody wants to do that especially not lazy unemployed americans. and as far as crime goes i live in a place with a large mexican farm labor force in the area...they are the most polite and quiet people, they arnt stupid, theyre here to work and make money, and they know if they cause trouble their dream will end. ive been all over the united states and seen lots of slums and lots of rich places and one thing i can tell you for sure...any american that isnt working or doing ok for themselves is a lazy piece of trash...dont blame it on the immigrants. So, to answer your question, it would be pointless for farmers to advertize for a job nobody wants to do. Americans want an airconditioned workplace where they can sit on their butt and take 3 breaks and 3 lunches and pick up there 15$/hr paycheck...

They can't advertise that they are seeking slaves to work for pennies on the dollar. They pay in cash, and the IRS doesnt get a penny. There is no benefits, or workmans comp.

You see, government involvement has played a big role in hiring people under the table. Government has made the cost of doing business so expensive that many people hire illegals to cut corners.

There are not many who could stand to do the hard work of farming. They also want to be paid way more than a farmer can afford to give. And many don't want to live in rural areas.

Mexicans are more interested in getting paid no matter what they have to do. A larger percentage of them save the cash and after a few years go back to Mexico and live like kings.
