hospitals should do what the Dallas hospital is planning to do??? "Parkland Memorial hospital, plans toBILL mexico,and other countries, to help cover the costs of health care for INDIGENTS" !!! (people who do NOTpay) "Last year,officials say Dallas county spent$76.5 MILLION,to treat people from OUTSIDE Dallas!!Of that,27 MILLION was NOT reimbursed! (remember,this is the cost for only ONE hospital!!) mexican officials are crying about it,terming it "an act of discrimination".
Maybe WE, should tell THEM,that INVADING our country,is an act of WAR!!!!

Sadly, most people in America see an act of war as a violent attack, which in most cases it is not, it is caused by a violation of border laws.
9/11 was declared a war on terrorism because of the border violations that resulted in the death of many Americans. The laws that pertain to those here on visas are seldom enforced and the result was, well we all know what the result was.
I personally think that the visa program needs to be shut down. If a person wants to come to America and utilize all of it's resources, then they should be a citizen who intends on using the learned skills to better the country of America. Without citizenship which is a renouncement of thier former homeland, none of these benefits should be given. If this was done the massive drain on Americans would be shared equally with immigrants. Illegals would have no reason to come to our country because there would be nothing for them to come here for. Immigrants and Americans alike could share in our efforts to help other nations in need, while protecting our own. The guest worker programs that we have had on our laws for about a hundred years needs to be dropped, our population far exceeds the need for it any longer. And if enough Americans can't fill those jobs, or won't, then we should allow more immigrants into the country, not condone breaking our prescious laws.

how can they prove they were Mexican citizens? And if they are able to prove it Why should their government pay? If I go to another country and run up bills should the US government pay?
People should be responsible for there own bills.
And if we had some form of free health care here not nearly as many people would show up at the hospitals for stupid non-emergency problems. We are all human beings should we not try to take care of our weak, young and needy?

I think its a nice gesture, but Mexico will never pay up. The bill will go in the big beef buritto wastebasket and they will have a good laugh about it.
Legislation should be passed to allow our hospitals to refuse medical treatment to illegal aliens unless payment is made upfront. They snuck in so they are on their own. If they dont like it, go home.

I read about that, I felt like cheering!! I think it is a great idea..... maybe more hospitals will do the same. Maybe Mexico would start enforcing their border if they had to foot the bill for all the illegals.

I think EVERY hospital in America that has to deal with ILLEGALS should bill the Mexican government or whatever government the illegals came from.
