As an theist, I do as every human does. I am here to keep the species from extinction. While you may not like the "eat, sleep, drink, reproduce" answers, you may have to come to terms with the simple fact that it IS the reason we continue to exist.

Yes, humans are part of the animal kingdom. You may think you're better than any mammal in the kingdom, but it is an undeniable fact that you are. You simply have a larger brain, less hair, have thumbs, can vocalize and communicate verbally.

Human behaviour also underscores our animal origins. We fight over territory (okay, we may not use sticks or stones, we've got nuclear weapons, guns, etc), we hunt and gather, and we care for our young (at least most humans do).

Letting go of your denial will be your freedom. Don't worry, you can still believe in your god. We won't hold it against you. At least I won't...

I live because I was born. The only way that I would not live, is if I took my own life, or for some reason was killed. I enjoy life. I am a curious person, and the earth is full of questions that are interesting.
I am a generous person. The earth is full of people that need help, and problems that need solutions.
I am a loving member of a family.
I am a passionate person, who very enjoys his life with his wife. And most of all, I am an animal. A mammal, and a member of the species Homo sapien. I am evolved from other hominids who, like me, lived because everything in their evolutionary background told them that being alive is far more interesting than being dead. I hope this helps you understand.

And most beleive humans ARE animals anyway....

Hey Lady, Why do you live? This seems to be a pretty stupid question to me. And why direct it only at atheists? also, "coz" is not a word. However, I live for many a things including my family, friends, the Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeyes, the smell of freshly cut grass, the taste of pool water, the feel of sand on my feet, and of course all the beautiful women out there. There are so many things in this world to live for that you do not have to live your life FOR God to be happy. Get off whatever high horse you might be on and come down and join the rest of us Humans in living for the beautiful things here on Earth

I am an animal. Perhaps the most sophisticated animal, perhaps not, but in the end, just another animal.

"Why" is a fabricated interrogative designed by the complexity of my noggin. You and I think it's real, but it's not. Why, though, answers the questions of meaning or purpose, which seem to be a programed development of the grey melon. Apparently necessary as a replacement to instincts in social creatures.

Humans are animals.

I live because I feel like doing so, like animals do. Some humans choose to take their own, but then some other animals do so. Apart from that, I try to enjoy my life and help my fellow humans until I die, death is the end.

I'm sure some have the intelligence of a mineral, but that doesn't make them a mineral.

Well...we are animals...what just because we can think and speak that makes us some kind of entity? Because we aren't some kind of godly entity, we must be some kind of animal...and to relate to other animals...Lions don't give a crap about your religious believes or gods, they just want to eat, sleep, and...in one way or another...own land. The real question here is why do people care so much about god where other animals simply don't care, and they just survive.

People need to worry less about beliefs of others, and perhaps even their own beliefs, and just be decent human beings. It's because people think we're so superior to other animals that they think they are so superior to other humans...that's just stupid. We live because we're a living organism, and a common trait among ALL living organisms is to survive.

We act like every other animal on this planet....minus the fact that we have higher capacities in our brain and commit genocide agaisnt our own species...so just because of that.....we aren't animals anymore? We are...and we live only to survive...just like everything else. If you don't like that...too bad. Believe whatever you want to believe, but don't ask other people "why do you live?"

It seems like you are insinuating that only Christians can live good and happy lives?
Let me suggest that Atheists number in the millions and are getting larger in size each year. We assist the needy, donate money, spend lots of time in educating youth...especially on the evils of theism, and are genarelly very happy with loving wives and children.

Of course in our spare time we eat Christians.

What a moronic question that has no thought whatsoever.

It is fun, and what else is there to do? 100 years or less to have as much fun as possible, then the ride ends for us.

I live to entertain other people, and myself. Just because my life isn't spent worshipping another doesn't mean that my life lacks meaning. Just that it has meaning that is measurable, and based around stuff I can see and feel.

Although, I am finding myself believing more and more in the Flying Spaghetti Monster... (link below)

I live because i have friends who want me to live, and because I wish to make something of my life, even if i don't want it. And I don't need a "god" to help do that. Having a god would just be a distraction, of course since there is no god, It would just be sitting in a hot cathedral reading from a book about some guys who have never existed.
