Man. Purely and simply. You see, God created the spiritual beings called the angels who could not live in the physical realm. He created the physical realm to support beings not in the spiritual (such as the animals). But man was actually created both a physical and spiritual being. He was the only being in creation to cover both realms. This is the great truth of what was lost when Adam fell. The spiritual connection to God. This is what Christ came to give us back. When Christ was crucified and rose from the dead, he ascended to God and paid the price for the great crime of Adam. The crime was high treason. It was to confer the earthly realm to the control of God's great enemy, Satan (meaning adversary). At that moment man lost the spiritual connection to God and so God had to use the willing sacrifice of a perfect man (as Adam was a perfect man who fell, only a perfect man who obeyed to death could pay the price for his sin).
This made it available to once again belong in God's kingdom. To be both spirit filled and physical. This is what it means to be 'born again' in the bible. It means 'born from above'. Born of God's spirit. This spirit is the gift of God and is sometimes referred to as Christ in. (Hence the name, Christian - which was actually an insult). Only man can actually be part of both physical and spiritual realms, which is why man is God's greatest creation. His masterpiece.
