I have done a lot of flying and I have never seen an airplane washed. My guess is that the outside surface may get some cleaning when regular maintenace is done. Otherwise its not likely that dirt and grime will stick to a plane's surface because of the speeds that they travel.

I have seen planes de-iced from inside as well as outside. They bring up a pumper truck which has a huge nozzle like a fire hose and spray away. I imagine they COULD wash an aircraft the same way.

I've heard to just leave them out in the rain. or at a local airport they should have a service. Or go Air France and just don't!
