We just painted some rooms in our house and the bathroom was one of them. We painted it pink and I like the color but I think it needs a little "something". I don't really like the look of sponging, so I am wondering what some other techniques are? I've heard of ragging. How is that easiest done? Are there any other ones...nothing too complex...I'm a beginner.

Hi
You can choose another colour which is similar to the pink you already have then get some glad wrap or cling wrap( for wrapping food in clear plastic film) dip it in the paint and spread it out on the wall and then peel off, repeat this till the whole wall has been done and it wll look great and is best to use a gloss paint for this effect to have full effect.

My first (and only to date) faux finish was done in my entry way and came out GREAT! I painted the wall the base color (hazelnut) and then marked 12" stripes with blue tape. I bought red paint and mixed with glaze and applied with a plastic Wal-Mart bag that was wadded up. It turned out great and was so easy! I am going to do another room with the same color stripes as the base coat, only mix with a pearl glaze.
