Absolutely not. If that would be the case, you may as well make school optional, period.
Lack of knowledge in science makes people revert to backwards ways of thinking. When religion ruled the world and science was unknown (or thought to be the Devil's work), we called it THE DARK AGES.
Just look at this site - many people cant even spell correctly, and this is something they have to learn! Could you imagine a world in which people didnt have to learn how to add and subtract, or didnt need to know about science??

Without math or science, we'd be living in the stone age.
Do you REALLY want to wash your clothes on a rock by the river's edge? or cook your meals on an open fire that YOU have to prepare every day? oh - and of course - you would need to catch your own food and kill and skin it first. But, of course, you could use the skins for clothing, because the math and science needed to design and build sewing machines and factories wouldn't exist.
Go to school, make all "A"'s, and become a scientist and invent or discover something that will make life easier for everyone.

No. High school is only teaching the basics. Everyone should learn the basics in all fields:
-Math
-Sciences
-Computers
-Social Studies
-Psychology
-Literature
-Writing
These skills are required to be a productive member of society.

I used to think so when I was in school but you'd be surprised at how much you actually use it in day to day life. They are "necessary evils". I loved math and hated science but what I learned in both I have used since I have been out of school.

Science should be mandatory until you get to physics. Math should be mandatory through algebra. After that it's all pretty much useless to the average person. Nobody should be forced to learn molecular sctructures and logarithms. I think by that time a student will know what is best for them. They can always take it if they choose to.

No, they are to important to let be optional. Think about it, how are you going to get a job without math skills? Basic sience skills are needed everyday. Just because the subject is boring does not mean you don't need it.

No. I think that those 2 subjects, while sometimes difficult, are important. You need to understand math in order to do daily tasks, such as paying bills, balancing bank accounts, understanding ideas that stretch your mind. You need science in order to understand what is happening to your body (this is especially important in health situations) and the world around you.

They shouldn't even thought i hate math. You use math your whole life for different things so if you didn't know it you would have a hard time doing things, like finding a good job or cooking stuff like that.
