The Poles have an excellent choice of cold cooked meats, sausages and breads. Fruit and veg the same as most places.
Most Polish restaurants have menus with English translations.
I've lived in Poland for two years and prefer the food here to that in the UK. It also costs a lot less.Decent meal for two with a beer less than £10(Mazury region)The restaraunt service is also great as are the people

you've under no circumstances tried some thing like Polish foodstuff! There are Pierogi (that are like ravioli's yet better), barscz (beet soup), kopytka, ogorkowa zupa (pickle soup; i understand, sounds icky, in spite of the indisputable fact that it tastes better than it sounds), and sooooo much better. :) by technique of the time you go away Poland, you'll benefit 5 pounds because of each and every of the options.

It's quite good actually,

Maybe excluding the tripes! (golonka)
main things to look out for must be Zurek (Jurek it's a soup) and pierogi (that might be Russian actually but it's kind of like a ravioli). You will find lots of potatoes and meat but they have a special prep for trout in the mountains

Depending if you like ethinic foods. Food there is ok, I am not really into foods that come from Elk or types of eels. Thats my opinion when I traveled there last summer.

I think traditionally they eat a lot of meat and potatoes. Not a lot of fresh vegetables. Maybe dumplings, too.
