it depends which beer you mean. I like the weissbier (white beer), the other beer is just like swiss beer, which is mid-strong. Weissbier is very malty...Hey don't you have a beershop in your town? we do have one where we can get all sorts of beers of all nations. a good idea for making a store, if you plan that. Try it and you'll see...As for me, I prefer mexican beer or japanese, like sol or asahi...cheers!

German beer is both full-bodied and potent. You'd find it "thicker" than American beer - we are required by federal law to pasteurize our beer. We also strain it, whereas if you were to buy beer by the bottle in Germany, you'd find a thin layer of sediment on the bottom of the bottle, a sight that takes some getting used to. If y'don't fancy the sediment, always buy beer on draft. You'll also find it much more strongly flavored, and that's why Germans think the beer they have to put up with when they come visiting over here is watered down, or that we Yanks just don't know how to make good beer.
A standard serving of American beer is 12 ounces, but in Germany is 33 ounces, or one full litre. A cocksure young American GI who can put away a twelve-pack at home and still function will gulp down a litre of Oktoberfest Bier and by the time he's halfway through his second, will be under the table. Count on it - German beer has that much more alcohol content.

There are over 800,000 brands of beer in Germany. I was stationed there for 3 years, I wasn't a drinker when I got there. but I am now. There are some beers that are so delicious and full of flavor, that if you even think of drinking American beer over there you should be shot. And yes it does compare to toilet water compared to their beer. Its sad to say, but then again, they have been making beer for thousands of years, compared to our hundreds. A good American beer to try is Shiner Bock (closest and best tasting to Ger beer)

I lived in Germany for 3 years. If you want to get an idea of what it is like, ask for a wheat beer. It is much smoother.

Yes, it's skunky, and that's exactly the kind of beer that I like, so the skunkier the better, and the Germans are great at brewing skunky beer:)

Awesome....I loved it! It's strong and dark. I really enjoyed. You can also find light beer (called Blonde) BUT I prefer a dark strong beer.
