Why do women talk so much about nothing?

Who knows?? But they can sure flap. I'm a woman myself and just the other week we had a neighborhood get together and I figured I'd hang with the women for a bit. They talked about recipes, clothing, shoes, etc. They couldn't talk about eachother cause they were all there. :) Finally, after 10 minutes I had had enough and told them I was gonna go see what the men were doing. Now there I found interesting conversation. I shared my big buck story (13 pts.), my big fish story (the one that didn't get away), my escapades on the 4 wheeler (when I tipped it over on myself), my snowmobile story (when I went over what looked like open water with it) and I just enjoyed it. If you ask me the women talk about boring things. Who cares how to cook a pot roast, I'd much rather learn how to filet a fish w/o any bones, which I know how to do btw. And who cares if my earrings match my dress, just as long as I don't twitch when I'm aiming. FYI, I enjoy being a woman, I wear dresses and my clothes and jewelery match, I have tons of shoes, and I'm a great cook, but I don't like to talk about nothing or gossip. Well....maybe if it's really good. :)

hmmm.. okay this is a hard one. Several reasons: first, nervousiness,stressful moments. Maybe because she hopes to make an good impression on you. Ladies may talk and ramble when bored. I talk alot if I get uncomfortable with silence sometimes. I am normally shy and quiet but these things I turn into a gabber. Stop this by making the girl more comfortable and by talking yourself and asking questions even if not on her subject because it will turn into a conversation u like. Maybe you should expand your interrrest to involve her and her needs and interest. If you have a lady you chose this problem. Hey, heres an idea it aways helpped me feel better and talk less offer me a drink or food, or snack. anyone agree? oppss! To ask a question like that leads me to assume that you have talked to every single woman on the face of the earth. And that can't be true, because you're never talked to me.

So you must be spending time with the wrong women.

I suggest you have a conversation with a couple of smart, intelligent women, and I am sure they will change your mind.

It seems like nothing to you because you are not interested and you have different values. To the women excessive talk about sports, for example might seem like talking a lot about nothing. What is nothing depends on your interests.

You have to talk to smart women who think in order to hear them talk about "real" subjects. Girls in bars want men to buy them drinks and tell them they are beautiful. You are looking in the wrong places for thinkers. Try talking to girls that belong to organizations that are trying to save the world. Those girls have thought things through, and have the bonus morals to try and do something. But, when they ask you why you are eating a burger from an animal that was tortured/raised on cut down rain forest/full of bacteria and hormones you will long for the girls who brainlessly eat their dinner and talk about what celebreties are wearing.
