that is correct. It is a lateral move to do so. However you find those interested in Delta are most likely candidtaes for Ghost but Both Ghost and Delta pull from all spec ops groups. The air force is actually in command of the best special forces group AFSOC. which work directly with Seals, GHOST, and rangers. 9 times out of 10 You will have a AFSOC operative with you.

No The seals are Navy and the Delta's are Army. The Deltas are hand picked from Army Special Ops. Unless you were a green beret then were hand picked by the delta's there is no way. It would be almost impossible to complete Seal Training and then move to the Army and get accepted to Special Ops and then get hand picked by the deltas. You have no idea how hard that would be. I dont think any who has ever been a seal would join the army to go though all that! And by the way the US Air Force has nothing to do with Seals or Green Berets.

All special ops soldiers are hand picked...and all of the special ops have "try-outs"(Including Rangers, SEALs, Green Berets, and Recon). They don't just come walking down to your headquarters and say "Delta wants you...". You go to a Delta Brief (any male soldier can attend), you take an Army Physical Fitness Test, a Psych Eval, and then they review your record. If you meet the minimum requirements and interview well, they send you to selection. In Selection you go through many trials and tests, if you pass and they feel you would make a good Delta trooper then you go to Delta training. As far as I am aware, Delta is limited to the US Army. The only units that pull from all branches of service are controlled by the CIA and NSA.

Yes, Delta force is the cream of the crop, and accept those from the ranks of the Army's Special Forces, Marine Recon, and Navy Seals.

yes. the best from SEALs, Marine Force Recon, Army Rangers, etc. are often asked to join Delta. But you can't just sign up for it, or go to "Delta school". they choose you, and only if you're the best

That's a good question. I am not sure. Maybe you could ask someone who works for the Army. Spc Ops are the best. GOD bless our troops and the United States of America.

Special operations units are clandestine, and therefore their members are under the cloak of secrecy. These guy are as much "spooks" as regular CIA, and NSA agents.
