There's no sugar or caffeine in it like other drinks, it just keeps you hydrated. And if there are some minerals in it, then those will be helpful too.

None, in fact drinking bottled water does more harm to your body than good. Bottled water lacks flouride fortification, unlike tap water, meaning that prolonged usage of bottled vs. tap water can have adverse effects on bone structure and tooth decay. Also, the production of the bottles produces bi-products that harm the environment, having an indirect impact upon human health in general. Even with recycling efforts a large portion of those bottles end up in landfill. Add to this the fact that the commoditization of water creates citizens in poorer nations to suffer through privatization and you have a product that is perpetuating a cycle of oppression and starvation. My advice, forget the bottled, get a Nalgene and enjoy the fact that you have free access to water at all!

Actually, there are no more benefits for bottled water than for tap water necessarily. There are standards telling people what limits there are for contaminants in drinking water but none in "spring" water. The only benefit I would see would be with distilled, since that has less pollutants that tap water would.

Tap water has more nutrients and minerals than bottled water. Bottled water does have a much better taste though. I watched this experiment on the British version of myth-busters.

It is no better than tap water, and actually you do not get the minerals essential to your life if you only drink bottled water without taking mineral supplements.

The idea that there is less bacteria in bottled water is absolutely incorrect. Tap water is typically treated with sodium hypochlorite (12.5% bleach, much stronger than what you put in your laundry). That is the chlorine taste you have in your water. The purpose is to kill any bacteria in the water while it is being transported to your home.

Same as drinking any water. Bottled water is so close to tap water it's ridiculous that we pay for it.

Well you won't have to question yourself about what bacteria and other things are in yours or other peoples tap. SO you can have your water tested or bottled water is always safe.

Some people say it has more minerals than traditional water. It is supposed to give you more energy or something. So the conclusion would be: there are no benefits, hehe.
