You can get dreadlocks anytime, but remember once you get them you can't get rid of them. Once you get tired of dreadlocks the only way to get them out is to shave your hair because your hair will become so matted and tangled that it's impossible to undo. Dreadlocks are usually used permenantly.

well the best thing is that your hair is shoulder length so that is is easier and get them done... if you do have dredlocks bare in mind they take time to come out and plus it makes ya hair grow faster as 1 of my friends had dredlocks her hair grew really fast..

what ever length you want really...it may even be easier to dread shorter hair and continue dreading it as it grows out...or just dread long how so you have long and large locks....Hope this helps although I am not a fellow dreader
