I'm assuming you mean cleaning the inside. Right? Just mix a little bit with a full pot of water and run it through just as if you were making coffee. Make sure you run a full pot of clean water through afterwards to get all the vinegar out of the pipes. You can also use just a little bit of dish soap mixed with a whole pot of water (followed by a full pot of plain water). That's what we do.

An easy, cheap way of doing this is to put a little baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) in the coffee pot and pour a little vinegar into it.
It will foam up and start bubbling, but the effect will dissolve most of the residue from the coffee pot.
Be careful as this can be a bit messy. try it out. We use the same method at home and it works decently.
