I have a credit card, but I haven't had it for very long. I just started my credit line a couple of months ago. My hubby has such bad credit that he can't even get a small loan. How can I get a car?

Credit has always been an important factor when buying a car but there are more and more lenders now have special finance program for customer who has little or no credit.

Due to the competitive market, most car dealers will work extra hard to get you approved as long as you have job. Some manufacture, such as Volkswagen even has "first time buyer program" for your situation.

We would suggest you to shop on the interest rates first before selecting a vehicle, here are some good lenders who can also help you through the process:

You can get a new car w/ special financing, but they're gonna kill you w/ interest rates like 18% or more... Too much money... I went through the same thing a few months ago, but I saved up like $2500 and bought a car cash... I haven't had no problems w/ the car, and all I pay is insurance and gas... So, the best thing would fix your credit, to get the best interest rate, get special financing which charges an arm and a leg on finance charges, or save up and buy a car cash...

Take a credit card statement and copies of your utility bills (in YOUR name only) to the dealership. You will get a better loan from the dealership, guaranteed. Also, you will need at LEAST $500 for a downpayment, though I recommend between 2 and 3,000.

Buy a clunker for little money. Save for a better car.
