Question about pizza!!!!!!!!?

How come when you order a pizza it comes in a square box when the pizza itself is round??????

So when you hold it and squeeze the corners it won't squeeze the pizza inside, the square box is easier to make and easier to hold.

I work in Pizza...the employees of any pizza shop will tell you that the worst part of the job is folding boxes. The boxes have to lay flat to ship to conserve space in the truck and in the shop till they are ready to be folded. A round box would have to come pre-made which wouldn't be cost effective for anyone. Manufacturing a square box is as simple as putting a few slots to hold edge tabs, and pressing in the fold lines, a round box couldn't be that easy. So basically it's all about space and cost effectiveness. The sqaure box is really just a lot more efficient. Oh yeah....eat Papa John's....Better Pizza....Better Ingredients.

From an engineering point of view- - it is much easier to produce square boxes than round one, not to mention cheaper. As well - what would you do with the square pizza? This way it is easier to store, cheaper to buy, more universally usable for a store and ... makes for an interesting question...

Now if the garbage is round and the pizza is round... why is he box square? - - --- Laughs

Not all pizzas are round. Some are square.
