The first boxer I ever knew about was Muhammad Ali, because I found out when I was 7 or 8 that I share a birthday with him. I read everything I could about him and was fascinated by his vibrant personality. What drew me in, after I'd seen an actual fight, was that it really is a sweet science, much like soccer in my mind. They are both extremely physically grueling, and the ability to overcome that through training or sheer toughness and keep your head in that situation is amazing. There are some that are able to not only keep their wits about them, but do extraordinary things in that situation, and that's what makes them great, like Ali was.

My step dad was an amateure boxer and he taught me a few tips and I've been in love with it ever since.

the one on one-ness. it helps you ind out just wat you are, and arent, made of. No other sport can really do it. ....
i was drawn to it by the rocky movies.... i liked the idea that a person can..do something..... with only his fists and his heart......
