Yes, Muslims believe they have the RIGHT to kill people if they commit certain violations of "Muslim law" (Sharia), such as adultery, homosexuality, apostacy, and saying ANYTHING bad about Mohammad. They justify this by pointing to prescriptions for violence in one of the oldest part of the Bible, namely Deuteronomy. They not only publicly execute people, but encourage family members and the general public to participate in the act. So much for a "modern" religion that was intended to "correct and perfect" Judaism and Christianity. Peace and tolerance? Hmmm
Bah!
World peace is a long ways off. Be a part of the solution, not the problem. No single opressive religious group will EVER dominate the planet.

definetly for it, and not just for the murderers but for the rapists, and other morons like that... We send loads of federal money to try t rehab the victimizers, and little to take care of the victims... We're slaping the victims the second time... and the third, and so on... If anyone harms my kids, I'm not going to stay there, cry and sue them... I'll shoot them! I think if we were more serious about the death penalties, a lot of people will miraculously "heal" from their "obsessive condition" or "disease".... Fear is good for a criminal.
Somebody has to teach those morons responsibility!

The Qur'an supports the death penalty, but there is a strong tradition of mercy within the faith, so it really depends on who the person is and whether they believe in mercy or not..... I am not Islamic, but that is all that i know of right now

I'm against the death penalty because criminals are victim of the society they raised in. We must find the reasons that make people com mite crimes, and we should try to solve it.

God believes in the death penalty. His Word tells us that and I can not find where He changed His mind. Genesis 9: 6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

You really should read the book Burned alive, I know this is not exactly what you are talking about but this refers to honor crimes and a girl that lived through being a victim. It is a book you would not want to put down. It will shock you!

I have no problem with the death penalty in theory. It's the practice that proves problematic.

Honestly the death penalty makes no sense to me. Why are we killing people to show people that killing people is wrong? It makes no sense!
