My whole family is tall but I'm taller than most of them! (I'm 5'11.) The ironic thing is that I have friends taller than me. (Not many only about 3 or 4)

You will probably keep growing for a little while longer. I know in middle school, I hit a growth spurt and was taller than most kids in my class. I then stopped growing sometime around sophomore year high school. If you really want to know, a doctor can take an x-ray of you hand and wrist and they can tell by the way the bones are. I had this done for a jaw surgery I had -- they needed to see if/when I stopped growing so they could do the surgery.

You might just be going through a growth spurt, and you might get a few more in your teen years, because that's how most boys grow. And your not really really tall, I'm 5 ft 8 and I'm 14, but I'm a girl and guys most of the time are taller than girls, and we like it when they are tall, so trust me, its a good thing.

I have a son who is having the same problem. He is 14 and he is taller than his dad and granddad. The tallest one on his father's side is 7'. So I will tell you what I tell him, don't worry you will quit growing when it is time. In the mean time enjoy life don't worry about how tall you are right now.
I would like to be taller than 5' but it wasn't in the cards for me to be so when things are you high for me to reach I get my son to get it and then he makes fun of me because I am so short.
But I tell him I am still your mother and I can still whoop your tail. HA HA!!

Are you a M or F? I am a female and I haven't grown since I was 11 years old. At that time I was taller than half of my classmates (especially the boys) but then everyone passed me in middle and high school.

Why would you want to stop growing? Being tall is a great thing! You should be happy to be almost 6ft and I'm sure you'll grow at least a few more inches before you stop - but theres nothing wrong with that! Enjoy your height!

i hate to say this to you, but u might continue to grow for a while. it all depends on your sex. i am a female. i started growing aqt 12yrs and stop around 15. then in college (18 or so) i grew two more inches. finish and my height is 6'0 ft tall, which is pretty tall for a female. for guys, usually stop growing around 16 or 18. females it can stop in the late teens and/or early twenties. but for females is also diffrent because when you become pregant you can also grow from a half of inch to two inches during your first pregancy.
