Olive Garden is not a "classy" restaraunt. It's a good place to eat, and not a low class establishment by any means. It's a fine place for a date, but if you're looking for classy you need to step it up a few notches.

A step in the right direction would be The Macaroni Grill or even better Caraba's.

A lot of classy restaraunts are in places you might not suspect. I treated my brother to a classy dinner a few months ago. Neither of us had been there, it was called Bin 595, located in the lobby of the Renaisannce hotel nearby. With the decor, attire, table settings atmosphere & $40 filet mignon's (and may I add... the most exquisite steak I've ever had in my life) deemed Bin 595 a "classy" place.

Get yourself the "entertainment guide" for your area. The front 70 pages or so often have a lot of nice establishments to eat at...for suggestions anyhow, but don't use the coupon if you're on a date!

If by classy you mean over priced( for what you get) non realistic Italian food. Everyone goes there every once in a while, but after you have real italian food(or very close to it) you never want to go back to Olive garden!

Well, lots of folks do the Garden, seem to be happy with the service and product they receive, guess that is good for something? Me, personally, ate at the Garden one time, not by choice, it was very safe, bland fare.

No, not at all, it is the unadventurous mans Italian rest. there are tons of ma&pops eateries which would surpass the quality and ambiance of the Olive garden, just ask some locals in your area for recomendations

It may be the fast food of Italian foods but the atmosphere is very nice, the prices are moderate and the food is quite excellent!

I was going to say no, but this may be one of those cases where this touristy fake Italian place is actually "in". What's next, Planet Hollywood?

It's middle class... nicer than your average pizzeria and has decent food, but far from classy.
