Do you think it likely that when the oil runs out that religious sites such as Mecca will become targets for revenge attacks by the western military or even individuals?

No, I don't think so. On the comedic side, I don't think most Westerners could find Mecca. On the serious side, by the time oil really gets to a critical amount, we'll have alternative sources of energy. We would only go after them to get control of more oil, not revenge. Though when they hold us hostage with oil, can an attack then be considered revenge?
