Honestly, I don't think so...unless you can find some common ground for things that interest the both of you. Opposites might attract, but similarities keep you together.

Chalk and cheese?

It depends on how long you plan these relationships to last. IF it is just dating/sleeping around, then definitely try every kind of person you can think of. try them all! the more different than you that they are, the more interesting they will appear.

For long term rel'ships, people say that opposites attract, but I can tell you that after 5 or 10 years you find that you'll have nothing in common.

My husband and I are exact opposites. Totally different, but somehow we work very well together. We have been married for seven years now and people tell us that we still act like newly weds. I think that when it's right, it's right and nothing can come between two people meant to be together.

You should date people that share similar interests, and posses differences, that one may enjoy differing points of view on subjects. It is the spice of life that things are different. If things are too alike, you get bored - too differing, you get aggravated. a happy medium is a happy medium.

Not a good idea. To have some differences is refreshing and can teach you new ideas, but too different will never work. Way too much to argue about.

Opposites do attract in some cases. Me and my hubby are very different but thats what makes our relationship work - cause we kinda balance eachother out and keep things fresh.

Opposites attract! It doesn't matter if the person doesn't even speak the same language as you--if that attraction is there on both of your parts.

If you're referring to culture, race, religion - go for it! That special person doesn't come along frequently.

Thinking back (I'm older than dirt) there are many treasured memories I have that woldn't be there had my life been ruled by "we don't do that", "don't try that because it's different than the usual", or "oh, I couldn't do THAT", that's too different" etc.
