My family uses mostly natural medicine, and we have tried the natural remedy of ear candling for clogged ears, but it didn't work well and in one case made the situation worse. The only thing that has really worked for my family members is to have the ears irrigated and completely flushed out by a doctor. I have been told that the procedure can be a little uncomfortable, but that the results are worth it. It may be a good idea to go to a doctor no matter what, since sometimes clogged ears are caused by more than just wax and moisture. I hope you feel better soon.

This can be caused by several factors.

1) Have you recently flown, swam or have allergies?
Your eustachian tube might be clogged which is trapping air in your inner ear.

2) When was the last time you had your ears cleaned? Typically symptoms arise due to a build up of wax in the inner canal.

I would advise going to a doctor to rule out the possibility of infection. Then, they will be able to tell you if its also a wax issue and get your canals all cleaned out.

Also, don't plug your nose and blow. If you have swelling in your tempanic membrane, it could very well pop.

At the drug store you can get a kit with a squeeze bulb and liquid for flushing out ear wax. It's pretty easy. They can do it quick at a clinic, too.

Try a decongestant and motrin to drain and reduce swelling in the tubes. Not a doctor, but it's worked for me.
