Hi lalamuffy@verizon.net
OMG! You asked such a great question! (finally someone who asks something that's intelligent!)
Okay, you probably already know that the fees for notary service are set by the state. But a lot of notaries make good money by charging a fee for travel and mileage expenses for a "mobile" service. And another way to make $ is to schedule as many signings in a narrow time slot, ie: make all of your appointments at your office between 2 & 4 pm. And you may be able to arrainge with a local bank or even a hospital to go there and do all of their notary signings at the same specific time every day. (they schedule the clients, & you just show up to do 'em) EZ money when u do a lot of them all at once! Go for it!
by the way...will u pleez pick this as the best answer. U R sweet if u do! thin-Q vry mch!

same with any business. depends on how much people ar willing to pay for your service and depends on how many customers you have. look at it fro this angle: how much are you willing to pay a notary when you go sign your name in thier presence while selling a used car? take this amount and multiply it times the number of customers you will need to make 500 bucks a week. then ask yourself if your projections are reasonable.
the answer above this one is ok but what she failed to tell you is you need to understand what your are notarizing. and if you are mobile you have gas, insurance those type of expenses to subtract from your income.
the short answer to your question is "not very much" thats why most notary's have a primary job and notarize on the side

I've used my notary to facilitate "at home" mobile real estate closings. I did about 10 in a good week and they pay anywhere from $50.00 to $200.00 per signing. There are other ways to earn money with a notary appointment..., look up "document signing companies"
