wait staff that sit down at the table with you!

Also, why do they ALWAYS ask you if you need anything when you have just taken way too big of a bite?

People who sneeze on a linen napkin, and then put it back on their lap. Cold germs are then passed on to the person or person's at that table, as well as out there for the person that busses that table and spreads them to the other people in the restaurant. That's why I take Airborne when I'm in that kind of a situation or place. And I don't care how much they wash it, unless it is white they can't use chlorine bleach. It may sound strange, but it is just a pet peeve of mine. It's not exactly the same if they have their own tissues, or other disposable paper, but linen? You just never know. It really makes me lose my appetite.

When the waiter/waitress does not give you as much attention because they assume that you will not leave a quality tip, even though you are really a good tipper.

My boyfriend got one really good one time. She spent more time on the tables that she thought that she would receive more money from and we were DISGUSTED!

So he took two ten dollar bills and tore them in half and gave her two halves and kept two. That way she could see that had she done her job, she would have gotten a pretty big tip! Since she did not ...she missed out, and he didn't miss the money at all!

When I have to slurp through my straw real loud to get another drink. Then because of that, I become someone Else's pet peeve. It never ends.

Nasty tables and the worst customer service.

Like when they seat you and take for ever to come back and take your order, and when you finally get a chance to order and then your order is wrong, so you say something about it and they act like you are getting on their nerves. Too funny.

Or even when you are at a drive-thru and they act like its to hard to give you your condiments. Or you can hear them fussing about the cars that's behind you.

I can not stand to be around anyone who is unprofessional especially when its your job to be professional.

Weak drinks and slow service.

Also when they try to make excuses for the inexcusable, like bringing you something other than you ordered. Now, you have to go through the whole scene with them, instead of enjoying your meal and your companion(s).

My Biggest Pet Peeve is when the hostess/host fails to notice me, or even mention that they will be with me momentarily...

Well, I was a waitress for 4 years in college, and I loved it, but when I got out and my waiter/waitress spills something by me, then starts cleaning it... like sweeping or zoom broom... makes me sick because you're trying to eat, and they're getting this dirt all over them and in the air... GROSS!!!

Lack of cleanliness. Such as old food stuck to flatware and cups or plates that are dirty or cracked (which means they can't be truly clean), employees not clean (don't wash hands, wiping their noses barehanded, playing with piercings, handling money and food without washing, etc.) Before you ask, money is one of the filthiest things in our environment we are willing to touch.
